As my time at 10 Yetis draws to a close, I reflect on my three weeks as a PR Yeti intern. Having completed other PR placements before, I felt I knew what to expect and prepared myself for a lot of photocopying and cutting. However, on arrival at 10 Yetis HQ, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself doing minimal amounts of menial tasks and actually getting involved with press release writing, journalist ring-arounds and blog writing.
I was surprised to find the journalist ring-arounds were fairly event free, I am still yet to be confronted with an angry journalist... I like to think this is because of my charm, but it may be because the lovely Emma handpicked me the 'friendly' ones to get me started!

The most memorable incident from my time at 10 Yetis was my first day when my 'witty' boyfriend convinced me he had arranged for a barbour shop quartet to come in and welcome me to the office, in an attempt to copy the 'Friends' episode. This resulted in me sitting on the edge of my seat all day and jumping every time the office door opened!
My 10 Yetis experience thankfully got better after this and I want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and friendly. I leave as a press wires guru, with lots of new skills and experiences and a fair amount of smelly clothes thanks to Hugo rubbing his ears all over them. Thank you and farewell!
